"I have been a seeker and I still am, but I stopped asking the books and the stars. I started listening to the teaching of my Soul."
—Rumi
My first experience with Yoga was as a teenager when I was suffering from insomnia. This was affecting my life, my ability to concentrate and my mood. Facing a life of medication or illness I turned, thanks to some inner knowing, to yoga. I learnt some simple relaxing asana's (yoga postures), which I practiced each night and the insomnia just went.
I was a fair weather Yogi and over the years intermittently tried different many types of yoga, Hatha, Iyengar, Vinyassa, Ashtanga, Yin and even Hot Yoga, before during a particularly stressful period of my life I went into a Kundalini class and knew I had found my home. My true and real self played itself out as I attended as many classes as I could each week until I knew I had to learn myself how to share the magic.
Combining teaching with my busy career in business wasn't always easy but was rewarding. I taught in boardrooms, offices, gardens and my own lounge over the years. I also, at this time, found I had a gift for healing and was attuned in Reiki. Later I also discovered the wonderful healing, and nothing short of miraculous practice of sharing Yoga Nidra.
After many years working in a corporate environment , I made the decision to leave my business and concentrate on my passion and dharma, sharing both the mechanics to de-stress and the absolute joy that is Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Reiki healing and Yoga therapy, with everyone.
People are attracted to Meditation and Yoga for many reasons: a spiritual practice, a brain trainer, a mind sharpener, flexibility, strength, a self soothing tool, a way to cope with the stresses of modern day life and sometimes just for a few minutes of peace and quiet.
I can guide you and introduce you to the different ways to find any or all of these, a way to return to yourself.
